L’ouvrage collectif Knighthood and Society in the High Middle Ages est le fruit du croisement de deux projets de recherche distincts, l’un mené par Jeroen Deploige sur la sacralisation de la chevalerie et l’autre par David Crouch sur la chevalerie conçue comme un ensemble de normes de conduite sociale.
