Nowadays, the reading in middle school is an activity put off by most of the pupils. Nevertheless, the Department of Education considers it as essential, where from its dominant place in the current programs. The objective of this study is to improve the love of reading of the pupils, in second year of high school, by varying the mediating supports of the studied complete books. Three supports were set up: two of reading, an adaptation in comic strip and a film adaptation. The problem is consequently the following one: in what measures can the variation of the mediating supports motivate the reading of complete books in second year of high school ? To answer the question, an experiment including the study of three mediating supports was led and distributed on the study of two complete books. During each ofthe studies, the reading and the understanding of the pupils were estimated. The results show that few of them read the wanted parts or enough understood them to obtain the average. At the end of each book, a questionnaire was distributed to the pupils. The collected answers show that they appreciated the proposed supports and that the latter favor a love of reading. It is however important to remember that the obtained results are far from the objectives fixed by the programs. From these conclusions, my practice grew rich by using these usefull supports. Later researches should optimize the set up device and identify other supports useful for the struggling students or those who have no interest by the reading. ; De nos jours, la lecture au collège est une activité rebutée par la plupart des élèves. Pourtant, l’Éducation Nationale la considère comme essentielle, d’où sa place prédominante dans les programmes actuels.
